Why You Should Party?

College has the perception of being the place for all the parties in the world. While most are there to study for their future, partying is also a must. Below is the reason why.

1) The Thrill
We will only be young once in our life. So why not experience the thrill now in college? Your parents are not here to look over you so you can party all you want. But you have to act responsibly. Taking a few shots and drinking a few glass of beer will be like riding a roll coaster. You will start to feel the thrill and fun after an hour later. College parties are all about the excitement.

2) The Stress
College is probably the most stressful phase of your life (up until now but wait until you experience working in the real world). The stress is bearable for many but it can accumulate very quick. Going to college parties is like releasing all the stress you have. For many people, high school will be extremely easy compare to college. Different people have different ways to coup with stress but partying is probably the easiest and the fastest way to let go of the stress.

3) Being Social
Being social is very good. Being social can mark the roads to your future. You might meet one of the leaders/CEO of the future. Partying is the most socially-active activity for almost everyone. You might, perhaps, meet the opposite sex, who you will spend the rest of your life.

College Wardrobe Essentials (Guy's Guide)

Guys wake up in the morning. Open the wardrobe and grab anything you see to wear. That is no longer the perception of men. We guys want to look good in front of our peers, especially girls. Below is a list of musts for guys in college.

2-3 Pairs of Jeans
2-3 pairs of jeans is a must for guys. Buy the kind of jeans that feels comfortable and stylish. Jeans are great in almost all situation, except formal events. Gap, Urban Outfitters and other stores in Lawrence and Kansas City offer several different styles of dressy denim, all of which are reasonably priced. Armani Exchange and Diesel offers the more high-end types of jeans for men.

4-5 Collared Polo Shirt

4-5 collared polo shirt is a must. They are great in many situations whether it be attending class, going out, or eating at a restaurants. They are in between formal wears and casual wears. Plus, they give others the impression that you really care about your appearances. Collared Shirt can be found everywhere. The high-end includes Ralph Lauren and Banana Republic. The middle-end includes Abercombie and American Eagle.

1-2 Quality Shoes

1-2 quality shoes is a must. You should also pair these with other casual shoes. These quality shoes are a must if you plan to attend parties, birthday parties, and formals. I would advise you to buy at least one pair of leather shoes (they are pretty easy to maintain as they don't get dirty easily).

1-2 Pairs Stylish Sunglasses
1-2 pairs of stylish sunglasses are a must. No matter where you are attending university, you will have summer. Stylish sunglasses will accentuate you facial features and shape. Not all types of sunglasses fit the shape of your face so choose wisely.

Feel free to add on anything you think I have missed below in the comment section below.

College Wardrobe Essentials (Girls' Guide)

What should I wear today? This is probably on everyone's mind before leaving for class. Honestly speaking, clothing often defines who you are as by first impression.

4-6 Pairs of Jeans
Jeans are a must. They are suitable in every situation whether it be attending class or attending parties. Find a brand that fits and defines you. Rotate through the different pairs of jeans throughout the week. Buying a reasonable price jean is the way to go because you will probably get buying a lot of them.
Levi's 525 Perfect Waist Bootcut Jeans

1-2 Formal Dresses
1-2 formal dresses is a must. College is where all the formal events (along with lots of casual ones as well) are happening. These dresses must make you look stunning. Formal dresses can be expensive but if you take time to find the right one, if will be alright. As a word of advice, you should buy your dresses on special holidays such as Christmas or July 4th etc.

Crystal Pink Embroidered Chiffon Strapless Lace Up Short Prom Dress
4-6 Tank Tops
4-6 Tank tops are also a must. Get a variety of colors for tank tops like black, white, grey, blue and the colors of your choice. They can be worn alone during the summer and can be paired with a trendy jacket in the winter. Tank tops will accentuate characters.

1-2 Casual Flats

Casual flats will provide you with walking comforts. They are comfortable for walking to and from classes and between dorms. They are fairly priced in most malls so go check them out. Choose the one that fits you and make you stylish.

1 Pair of Boots
If you college has a "real winter", then 2-3 pair of boots is a must. If you are living in the warmer areas, 1 pair of boots will go good. Boots is a must because it will length to your legs. Long legs are viewed pretty by most men.

2-3 Sweats
2-3 pairs of sweats is a must. Sweats are comfortable so they can be what you wear in dorms or just hang around. Sweats are perceived by some guys as sexy and plus, it give you the sporty feeling.

Feel free to add on anything you think girls will need in college in the comment below.

Debit Card or Credit Card

Both of these types of cards are convenient for paying bills. Each type of card has its advantages and disadvantages.

Credit Card

The main advantage of credit card is that it can help you build your credit history (you will need this to buy/lease apartment or house and car in the near future). The main disadvantage of credit card is that you are spending on credits. Credits are dangerous because it is intangible. You will keep spending until the monthly bill arrives. If you cannot pay your monthly bill, interest will added to it and it will damage your credit history. I would advise college students not to get credit card.

Debit Card
The main advantage of debit card is you spend what you earn (or what you have in your account). The main disadvantage is that you cannot spend over what you have. Debit card is the way to go because you will not be in debt and it charges no interest rate. If you have the money, you can use it. But if you don't have the money, you don't use it. I would advise you to get Visa Debit Card as normal debit card does not allow you to swipe your card. I had both debit card and visa debit card before. You can pretty much pay anything online with visa debit card but not with normal debit card.

Basic Survival Tips

1) You’re here to learn
No matter what people tell you, you’re at college to learn new things.  Don’t think you’re going to college to party 24/7. But partying is a very important of the "college experience."
2) Make friends
You should make all the friends you can in college because they will probably help you in the future whether it be in getting jobs, or starting a business (business partners), or just friends for life.  Try and make friends with the same major so that you can study in your free time.
3) Cope with Peer Pressure
Your high school days are over and college is where you’re now an adult.  If you find people trying to get you to try things or do things you don’t want to do, don’t do it just to be “cool”.
4) Watch for strangers
Most colleges are so big that you will always meet new people everyday. Never let anyone come into your dorm room or apartment unannounced.  This should be a no-brainer.  If you do have people coming in your dorm that you don’t know about, watch them carefully because they may take your personal belongings.
5) Try to be close in class
The closer you sit in the class, the more you’re going to comprehend.  If you find yourself in the back, you may find it hard to read the board or hear the professor. Once again, try to be involve in class and outside of class as well.
6) Buy cheap books
NEVER buy your books from the school bookstore.  You usually don't need the same book after that year. Instead, use services online where you can get the books for a cheap price.  Use Amazon, Ebay and other services. Saving a little here and there for textbooks can lighten your parents' or you pocket.
7) Don’t always eat the cafeteria food
Just because you’re paying for the cafe food, it doesn’t mean you have to eat it. Although experiences told me that you should eat cafeteria food about 3-4 times a week. I got so much money leftover in my account that I had to buy bulks of Redbulls. Once you pay for the cafe food, you will not get refund after the first semester is over. This is a warning. Get off campus once in a while and go eat some real food, you won’t regret it.
8) Tour your campus
You’re most likely going to be on this campus for the next four years.  When you get there, start going out there and exploring not only the campus but the town around there (if there is one). Getting to know the vibe around your college will definitely help you in the near future.
9) Don’t do things at the last minute
You’re going to get big projects in college. Don’t wait until the last day to do your final essay for Literature class.  Instead, take your time, do your research and get a good grade. Procrastination is inevitable but using your time wisely will save you. There is barely any extra credit work in college, unlike high school. Big projects are a HUGE percentage of your grade so make smart decision.
10) Be social
In between classes, you’re going to find yourself with some free time.  Try and find some clubs and activities around campus where you can entertain yourself. Furthermore, college is where you want to make your connections that will, hopefully, be use to you in the future.
11) Get a Visa Debit Card
A debit card is a lot easier than cash.  If you lose it, you can just go to your bank and cancel the card. Your money will still be there. Watch what you spend with your debit card though. Since you are not handling with money on your hands, you will likely overspend. Visa Debit Card is WAY SAFER than Credit Card. Never get a card on campus for that free shirt.  Instead, do your research online.
12) Don’t worry about money just yet
Books and tuition are going to look expensive but let’s look at it this way.  If you’re going to college to make $60,000 a year, you’re going to be able to pay it off fairly quick.  If you end up quitting, say hello to retail jobs and awful hours.
13) Know your teachers
It never hurts to meet up with your teachers after class or even before.  Try and bond with teachers that specialize in your major.  They can end up being a great source in the long run when it comes to jobs and advice.
14) Get a job
Do you want to move back home when you get back from college?  Probably not.  Let’s find a job nearby campus and work 20 hours a week or so.
The list can keep going on and on but I just highlighted a few tips that you should use when you’re about to hit the college campus.  College is not easy but if you survived, you will most likely be successful. If you have any tips you would like to suggest, please comment below.

College Party Themes

5. Blacklight Party
Blacklight Parties are always a lot of fun, mostly because they end up turning into orgies. Who doesn’t like a hot orgy every now and then? Guests arrive to the party wearing a white shirt, a requirement. The house should be set up to have a majority of the lighting, like 89%, blacklights. Scattered throughout the house should be highlighters of all colors: blue, yellow, orange, green, anything.
As the party progressives and guests continue to get shithoused, they will write on one another. Once you can sense the drunkenness in the atmosphere, turn the music up and watch as the messages people write to each other get more vulgar, sexual, sloppy, inappropriate, and funny. Sure enough, clothes will come off and a sweaty orgy will ensue. Make sure you wrap up.
4. ABC Party
I would have to assume everyone knows what this stands for: Anything ButClothes. So awesome, I know. Basically there is only one requirement to enter the party: no shirts, no shorts, no pants, no service. A guest may not wear anything that can be classified as clothes.
Half the party will most likely show up in a trash bag, but the originality of some of the more ambitious guests will make the party awesome. I’m talking girls dressed scantily clad. I’ve seen outfits that fit around women include the following things: watermelon, Post-Its, whipped cream, and Saran Wrap, among other things.
No one likes to guys naso it is encouraged that guys keep it conservative. Of course, some will risk it all and attach a Natty can to their junk or simply show up ass naked. Feel free to kick them out if necessary or if you self-induce at the sight of such a thing.
Above all, you better get laid.
3. Halloween Party
There is no better holiday than Halloween. And there is no better party to have than a Halloween party. What other night of the year are women encouraged to dress as slutty as possible while guys dress as funny as they can? I love the holiday, which is why there is no reason it should be limited to one night a year. Break out the 151 and Absolut because it’s a special occasion. Call up everyone in your phonebook because on your special night, say in late March, it’s Halloween all over again. No doubt are you getting laid, HIGH FIVE.
Don’t thank me, just get drunk and enjoy the debauchery that shall most definitely develop. Remember, wrap your shit up with a nice domepiece—that is essential. Stay safe, party animals.
2. Black Out or Get Out Party
This theme is pretty simple. Upon arrival at the door each guest must either shotgun 10 beers consecutively or rip up to 10 shots (preferably of 151). If the person can still feel their limbs, 2 more beers or 2 more shots must be administered.

1. The Who Party
This is one of the best kind of party I ever had. Basically, you dress up as a famous person in history. For example, women can show up as sexy George Washington, sexy Abe Lincoln, sexy Ulysses S. Grant, sexy Emily Dickenson, sexy Martin Luther King Jr., and so on. Guys can go as either JFK or Larry Bird. Neither male costume can be sexy, for that shall result in immediate expulsion from the party.
The other way to operate The Who Party is to have all your friends dress as one of their friends. This allows for some great reminiscing. Just make sure the women are dressed sexy.
